We haven't had any issue with mineral deposits. Both pools are currently salt systems.... Proper water chemistry will prevent the mineral deposits....

The camera is deceiving. 18' wide? I am trying to figure out dimensions for a lap pool and I was thinking 7 or 8'. Thank you again for prompt response.
