They are hydrangeas - you must control the soil to keep them blue/puple. Adding aluminum accomplishes this.

If you add MurAcid it will turn them deep purple. Very Cool. I believe MircleGrow sells this product.

Lots of planning and consideration for the current and future uses of the space. When designing i personally go through
Lots of trash ( trace paper ) to consider multiple layouts and circulation options. Bubble diagrams can be a quick wy to determine circulation in the prelim phases

I'm pretty sure it is Cape Cod Massachusetts....looks like it could be Chatham. It is very much a fairy tale town.
