The family requested a “Texas Deco Industrial” style home. Part of the USGBC’s LEED Pilot program it was built with Insulated Concrete Forms and multiple solar systems. Unique and whimsical, the interior design reflects the family’s artful and fun loving personality. Completed in 2007 it was certified as the first LEED Gold home in Houston.

Yes. It is a structural steel column wrapped and tiled in black penny rounds. The island top was fabricated to fit around it.

Remarkably enough these cabinets are form Ikea!!! The surface is a type of poly-laminate, yes. There is a reason why laminate is a commercial surface. The material is tough and easy to clean! The white counter top is Silestone.

I like the oval olive island and would like to know what type of material?
The counter top of the island is Silestone. Green Fun would be the color you want.
