Why did you choose to use a combination of inset and full overlay cabinetry? It looks great!

Do you feel this would work in a smaller, eat-in kitchen in a 50's ranch home? I am having my kitchen remodeled this summer and I would love to do this but I'm not sure how it would look in a smaller space. Thanks!

This is beautiful. Can you tell me the dimensions (height) of the upper cabinets? Is that 30" plus 15" an 8" crown? Truing to figure out the right combo for 9' ceiling,

Beautiful! - I'm thinking of doing just this, inset upper cabs and full overlay lowers. I love the simple recessed panel door, but am struggling with whether or not to have a bead on the door and/or on the frame of the inset uppers. It looks like there is no bead on either of these, but I can't tell for sure. Do you know? Thanks.

No bevel - but I am putting one on my own cabinets to make them easier to clean.

Heritage Tile also has these tiles, with straight and beveled edges, and with the crackle finish, in its Subway Ceramics collection. http://www.subwaytile.com

It should be a minimum of 36" for a "one cook" kitchen. 42" - 48" is the recommended distance for multiple chefs. The extra space allows two people to easily access all areas of the kitchen at the same time with out crowding or bumping into each other.

I believe clean and simple will always be in trend. Gold comes and goes quickly. Bronze is a nice option if you have natural wood cabinets. With stainless steel appliances - the brushed nickle is the way to go. We typically suggest knobs on doors and pulls on drawers. Pulls have two points where they are bolted in and give more leverage. Consider your faucet and any towel bars as well. I avoid black because they just stand out too much.

Knobs - I like the knobs used in white kitchen. I have a question. I’m using wood knobs On my kitchen cabinets . What size do you suggest? My pull drawers are 27 in. and 16in. How many per drawer? Thank you

Often we put knobs on cabinet doors and pulls on drawers. In this image you'll see we used all knobs. If you have a large drawer you want two knobs, if a smaller drawer you can use one.

Tile finishes and colors and sourcing change. I suggest you talk to your local tile suppliers about options. These are pretty standard subway tile. Sizes are also varying with a trend toward longer tile now. Be sure to find out whether or not you need edge tile.

These are the more traditional 4 x 8. We are using slightly longer tiles now for a bit more contemporary look.
