70's Kitchen Make-Over Using Existing Cabinets Contemporary Kitchen, San Francisco
This kitchen was straight from the 70's, and very uninspiring for the homeowner. With triplet boys, she needed a more functional use of the space, so we extended the peninsula cabinet to include counter seating. The oak cabinets were painted and new granite countertops installed. Stainless steel hardware added a decorative touch to the cabinets, and the original fluorescent ceiling lighting was removed to expose a tray that was perfect for can lighting. Amber pendant lights add another decorative touch, and tie together the warm tones in the room.
