A spray lacquer can only be done in a workshop (with a ventilator) you cannot do it in place. There are some spray finishes your painter can use I would see what he recommends. Most paint companies can match the F&B colors.

What are the dimensions of the island?

Let's see... the counter top is 3 feet deep on either side= 6 feet of cabinet altogether plus I would guess 48" space on each side between cabinets and island so that accounts for another 8 feet (48" x2). So we have 14 feet accounted for but the width of this room is stated at 20 feet. Hmmm... The island depth does not look like 6 foot. This room doesn't really look 20 feet wide... Is that right?

Talk to your stone supplier. I think there are some creams they can put on the surface to pull the impurities out of the stone.

try a product called Aquamix Poultice Stain Remover--make a paste, place it on the countertop, cover with clear plastic wrap, poke a few holes in the wrap, allow to sit overnight, and remove the next day

Please note all colors shift in rooms with different light conditions. Get a sample and see for yourself by applying small amounts on several walls.

More and more people are using clear poly coatings or oiled finishes instead of heavy tinted stains. Especially with Black Walnut. One of our customers just used Rubio Monocoat on theirs.

Wall color is Savage Ground by Farrow and Ball Please note that this is a digital representation so please get a small amount of paint and try it in several areas. Orientation, wall material, and amount of daylight can affect color perception greatly.

Thank you! I love the marble and everyone is telling me it's so hard to keep up and it gets marks on the finish so quickly- even from water... have you found that to be a problem?

Yes their is a ridge beam and it looks like these beams just slightly bigger. It provides a flat area for the electrical connection for the chandelier. Sorry don't have a photo of it. This kitchen will be published in Kitchen and Bath Ideas magazine in 2014.

liked the beamed and wood slat ceiling but want the slats going vertically. Not horizontally

I think this countertop is nice. Not stark white so will be more forgiving to clean. I think it would look nice with wood accents and your style.
