The choice to use 2 or 3 pendants typically depends upon how wide your pendants are and whether or not you want them to be the focal point of the room. Without knowing the details of your kitchen, we recommended two because it would likely make your space feel light and airy, like the kitchen pictured.

Restoration Hardware they are even more stunning in person. I ordered two of them and was in love with them. They were too big for the space and have decided to gift them to my mom to install in her new house over her island. They will be perfect & they are just too amazing to be sitting in boxes in my garage.

Marble will stain, scratch, and etch if exposed to acidic materials, although it will etch less if honed. Even with that, spills need to be cleaned up quickly. It's really a personal preference and what you are most comfortable with.

Thanks, I am remodeling a kitchen and it is very similar to this. I have purchased these Benson pendants as well as the Rohl faucets all in polished nickel but have been warned about polished nickel knobs and pulls because we have 3 boys. Have you run into issues with polished nickel knobs and pulls tarnishing easily or marking easily? Would you ever mix pewter hardware with polished nickel faucets and light fixtures? Your work is beautiful!

I haven’t had any complaints from clients about the polished nickel finish tarnishing. However, any polished surface will show fingerprints easier than a matte finish. There are instances I would mix pewter and polished nickel but I wouldn’t do that in a kitchen like this. One of the elements that makes this kitchen attractive is the simplicity of the design, which hinges on keeping the number of finishes to a minimum.

I will second Linda the variation start from very greyish white carrara marble all the way up to Whitish carrara with some grey in it. The more white the Carrara marble is the higher it is in value, the price also depends on the selection.

Restoration Hardware polished nickel was used for the cabinet hardware. It is becoming more widely acceptable to mix finishes, but it depends on the look you want. If you want everything to be slightly matte and muted, I would go with a satin finish, but if you want a shiny, polished look I would go with the polished.

We might suggest a smaller upper cabinet, leaving at least 4” for a frieze board plus crown. Crown should be at least 6” for 10’ ceiling. Good luck.

This was a custom mixed stain so we unfortunately don't have the specific names, etc. An oil finish is easy to maintain, very durable and if applied properly prevents the floor from ever having to be sanded.
