I inquired about the plants, they were some kind of silk plant that the homeowner provided.

We have built fridges into many cabinets and sometimes into walls. The cost is manageable for almost everyone when it is wrapped with panels and a cabinet above it. It can rum more when it is built into a wall area. If you are thinking about doing a brick enclosure like in the picture the brick work could cost you as much as a new refrigerator.

Great question, sorry to say that it belonged to the owners prior to the remodel, and I don't know where they got it.
