Functional Environmentally Sensitive Kitchen Eclectic Kitchen

The majority of cabinets of this kitchen were reused, refinished, and rearranged. A few were built to match. Even the old cabinet side panels were reused in different places to create this new kitchen. Low VOC paint and glues, local woods, green certified countertops, fluorescent lighting and efficient appliances were sourced. Reuse and repurposing were the requirements in creating a very functional modern aesthetically pleasing kitchen. Original hardwood floors were kept and patched where previous cabinets had been removed. The original corner brick fireplace dominated the color and material choices for the space so it would fit with the new kitchen.
