Corbels? - Did your cabinet fabricator make the corbels or did you order them? If you ordered them, can you tell me from where? Thanks.

those do not appear to be the same barstools as in the picture - the base is different. I prefer the base in the original pic - where can those be sourced?

How did you make that breakfast bar top? Did you order from somewhere or just built it onsite?

Wood stools with upholstered seats are another great choice, and again, reupholstering that seat with a fabric of your choice is a great option.
Lisa Frederick added this to Kitchen Workbook: Tools to Pick Kitchen Stools
Check for quality construction. Because stools get pushed, pulled, banged and jostled daily, you'll want to be sure yours are well made. Inspect the joining or soldering; test the backs for stability; make sure fabric is securely attached.

KITCHEN Tim prefers a corbel over a leg from a functional standpoint (allows people to spread a bit more, beyond the bounds of the counter edge to get a little more space) and while I agree, I need something a little more substantial to define the area. A larger corbel (the smaller ones don't cut it) like this seems like a decent solution.
