Complete bathroom overhaul! We were responsible for new drywall, texture and paint. Installed new light fixtures, new vanity with matching mirror. The tile design was a rustic approach w/ a custom mountain scene. All natural stone in this bathroom! Slate, travertine pavers and river rock worked well together. We added a floating bench and 2 custom soap dishes. All the custom bullnosing was done on site. The size of the shower pan was doubled and we framed in a stub wall. Photos by Stone Creek

Depends on whether the shower is enclosed, open or a steam shower. Most showers we just use a mastic or pre-mixed mortar. We also use your typical modified thin-set, if we use this we'll skim coat the ceiling with fresh mud then trowel the back side of each tile and stick it to the ceiling. The grooves you create by troweling actually suctions it to the ceiling, but make sure the mud is not to thin and not to thick!
