It should be fine. This is an induction top, but I would not think it makes a difference. Please ask your local code inspector.
The National Electrical Code does not have anything to say about it, and I haven't seen anything regarding this specifically on pot fillers in any of the model plumbing codes such as the IPC or UPC.
Insist that the contractor show you the exact code reference, and ask your contractor if they are so inexperienced that they have never even seen a pot of pasta water boil over on an electric stove. If stoves were not meant to have water around them, you would not be allowed to cook on them, much less boil a pot of water. I suppose your contractor is also under the misconception that a gas stove has no electrical connection?

Why should I pay for a service company to come out to rectify a design flaw that will just happen again and again, every time this oven door is cleaned? Electrolux takes no responsibility for design flaws and offers zero customer support. Your response basically conveys everything that is wrong with your customer support -- it is not "an obstacle." It is a known design flaw for which you tell a customer to service on their own money. You tout the easy to clean oven doors as a feature of your ovens. In fact, the opposite is true. Everyone reading your post will now see the extent of your customer support and, hopefully, make a better choice by avoiding Electrolux products.
