Exterior - craftsman. Interior - transitional, a little Asian/zen/tranquility design, some traditional with fun pops of individuality through unexpected uses for items in the house, or unexpected design choices.
My next project: Building a perfect house for our family, using materials that will wear well, look good, stay clean, and don't cost a lot. The house has been designed so that there will be a place for everything, and my family knows that when we finally move in there, EVERYTHING will be put BACK IN ITS PLACE or there will be dire consequences.
About me: Big-hearted mom of an amazing, funny son who has Down syndrome and autism, and his loving, challenging sister who is incapable of cleaning up after herself in any way whatsoever. I hate housework. Yet I yearn for serenity and order. I hate houses that were designed in ways that don't work for normal people...or even us. We will be building a house of our own design in 2015. Well, mostly MY design.
