015 - Custom Wine Cellars Boston Massachusetts Cape Cod Project

Taking over two years this residential custom wine cellar project was a key component of a new construction home build. We first became involved with it in October of 2010.

The wine cellar design was very unique, and for the construction of the cellar we partnered with both the lead architect and the general contractor until its completion in March 2012.

The home in Cape Cod near Boston Massachusetts has a wonderful setting which you can gain an impression of in our project photo's. Another unique aspect of the project was the separate wine room for tasting and parties, without sitting in a refrigerated environment.

The flooring was made from Napa Oak Barrel by Fontenay. It displays the original stamps found on the barrel heads.

The cooling unit used was manufactured by US Cellar Systems. The evaporator was placed within the top of the racking and concealed in a louvered grilll cover.

This home wine cellar Boston was crafted from mahogany, with a Chappo stain and clear top coat finish. It provides storage and display for 1770 bottles, including 750 ml., through the use of high reveal display rows, wood case storage, bulk bin storage and label forward horizontal displays.
