The homeowners are environmentally conscious and wanted a drought tolerant ground cover as part of a landscape design that would be an elegant complement to their 1920's Spanish Mediterranean home. The design of the walkway and driveway needed to accommodate additional cars when necessary. The use of gravel in-between allows the driver to exit the vehicle without stepping on the plants.
