In three distinct areas, we updated compact spaces that had always posed a problem for the homeowners. In the atrium, we created a zen garden that brings a feeling of tranquility into the home. The back wall was painted black to recede away and the other accent wall was painted a terracotta color that picks up tones from the dining room. A retaining wall was built for our specimen tree and a minimal palette of plants keeps the area clean and evokes an Asian feel. The master bathroom courtyard is awash in tropical color. A new curved walkway was built using natural stone in the front entrance. A fountain placed amid colorful tropical plants welcomes both homeowners and guests as they approach the front door.
