A bathroom under the eaves

This project is of a guest bath which is often called a "Jack and Jill bathroom". It was a bit challenging because there wasn't much full head height to create one let alone two bathroom areas. In any case it worked out well and was a fun "puzzle" of a project.

Another angle of the bathroom - the dormer is to the left. The floor is marble tile the field is 4x4 squares with a 6x12 border. The marble counter tops were done by La Pietra in Brookfield, CT.

The built in bench was located out of the full head height area which gave more useable floor space to the shower.

Custom louvered bifold shutters allow for control of air, light and privacy.

This is the drawing that I did to build the guest bathroom under the eaves. They have an oversized shared shower but with a private sink and toilet which works well for guests and family too. I photographed one side but they are similar in detail and finishes.
