A Bit of Barn
Mix of rustic and contemporary: This electic home is nestled into the woods, and was built using trees from the property.
The clients hired me to work on 5 separate projects in their 1970's home. The interior was originally designed to mimic a barn. So in keeping the barn elements in place, we designed and fully remodeled:
1. A Master Suite, with new entry, bathroom and closet
2. A new powder room
3. A full guest bathroom in the guest suite
4. A new laundry area/ hallway
5. A new kitchen range wall, pantry, and mudroom
We reused as much existing wood, slate flooring etc. from their home as possible in the design. We also bought and used old doors, so no door in the home matches, but are all painted black. The 2 new barn doors we custom designed and had made also were painted black.
This lovely home has it all, color, a variety of wood, tile and lighting. Everytime you turn a corner, there is something interesting to look at.
