A Fresh Take on Southwestern style

A southwest inspired living room and master bath re-do. In the living room an antique Navajo rug hangs above the sofa. A clear maple cocktail table doubles as an ottoman with a leather upholstered top. Matching alabaster lamps flank the sofa, and sit on top of metal and glass nesting tables. A turned wood framed armchair sits near the sliding glass door and boasts a chevron patterned accent pillow.
An adobe style fireplace inspires the new fireplace mantle and surround. The faint ikat pattern in the drapery and other fabrics come from the geometric patterns of the southwest and African styles. Wrought iron drapery hardware adds a rustic appeal.

Living room seating
A focal point in the room, this carved wood arm chair is a custom piece that works perfectly in the space. A chevron pattern lumbar pillow nods to the geometric patterns of the southwest and african styles that were an influence for the living room.

Originally a painted brick fireplace- this new facade is inspired by an adobe style fireplace. A custom mantel is made of Zebra wood and a black slate floor adds a new texture to the space. Custom metal and glass fireplace doors add a finishing touch with a new gas log set inside.

Arteriors metal nesting tables with a copper top and black granite top. Shesham and alabaster lamps sit on top, flaking the sofa.

A custom Zebra wood entertainment center was made with a curved front to mimic the arch of the fireplace doors.

African artifacts were part of the clients existing accessories. This wood carving of an African woman is showcased in the corner of the living room. The form of her body add to the geometric theme throughout.

The dinnerware set was the inspiration for the dining area. The wicker table base with a glass top creates an interesting pattern that coordinates with the Ikat fabric on the dining chair cushions.

Wicker dining chairs received new seat cushions with a gold ikat pattern to coordinate with the drapery in the living room.

An existing cabinet in the dining room was changed into a display cabinet. Glass doors were added with lighting inside, it was stained to coordinate with a the dark woods seen in the living room.

This master bath was a full remodel. The vanity was custom made with a kohler vessel sink, delta vessel filler on top of a caesarstone counter top.

The niche and vine trim are iridescent tiles which become a focal point against a tan field tile. A new tub and new shower heads are all enclosed in a new glass enclosure. All tile is Daltile
