I designed this project and supplied all of the cabinets from Medallion Cabinetry. The finish in the island is a very distressed grey based finish called Appalousa. The countertop material was called Labrador Antique, the backsplash was Lagos Blue Limestone from Walker Zanger.

Space planning and construction notes;
This space was totally transformed from a very small uniteresting and closed off kitchen to a total GREAT ROOM. A major wall was removed to create a huge island instead. The sink stayed in the same position but now had a ocean view in the canyon below. In the old space the TV faced the wall which was removed. The TV then had to pivot to the outside wall. This new airy, interesting, usable space amazed all including me!
