The clients, a husband and wife, wanted to update and make bathroom more accessible for the wheelchair bound wife. They had been living in their house for quite sometime and the wheelchair bound client had never been able to face herself toward the mirror because the vanity was not built to accommodate a chair. Additionally, she could not enter the shower and had difficulty transferring to the tub, needing help to do so. So we gutted the entire bathroom and took the shower and bath space and made an enlarged dual shower with 36" entry door and zero threshold. Hand-held shower head at low reachable level and second shower head at standard level and a "His" vanity area. The old vanity area was turned into the "Her" accessible vanity with a wheel chair approachable sink and drawers on either side. The client wondered why they hadn't done this sooner!
