On the exterior of the home, a light stone, stucco (that looks like concrete), and wide plank vertical siding with a dark metal roof. Black metal windows, railings, and front porch columns balance the black metal roof and provide visual interest and contrast. Stained wood ceilings on the front and back porch along with a solid wood front door add warmth to all of the other hard exterior materials. The exterior is finished off with modern lighting and simple landscaping.

On the interior of your home, a light/medium tone wood flooring throughout, with white walls and trim. Rustic wood beams and various rustic wood accents throughout the house, create a warm and welcoming environment. We bring the outside in by suggesting the use of the exterior stone and “concrete” materials as accents on several walls inside your home. This is a great way to make the space feel cohesive and customized! I’ve recommended a warm gray paint on the kitchen cabinets and a marble-look quartz that adds a classic (and dramatic!) touch. Mixed metals, of matte black and brass in the hardware, plumbing, and lighting. A modern floor-to-ceiling metal room divider and stair railing does double duty as both function and art.
