Albany

The existing kitchen at the rear of the house lacked views to the yard and captured very little of the west-facing light. The family wanted as much light as possible in the kitchen and direct access to the rear yard as well. The solution was to knock down the entire west wall, including an unheated brick lean-to, and to add windows on both exterior walls of the kitchen for dymanic views and daylight.
