An oasis within the City (Chicago, IL)

Futurity created an oasis within the city to provide privacy and safe play areas for a small family. Arbors were designed and oriented to form a series of rooms. A patio, constructed with recycled street curbing and bricks, flows under the arbors and creates an intimate seating area. The focal point of the garden is a multi-level water feature; a fountain (created from an architectural artifact) leads to a runnel and a pond below. This project received the 2006 City of Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley Landscape Award.
