Andjo Bathroom Renovation

My Client's inherited a hopelessly "stuck in the seventies"bathroom when they brought their brown stone in Philadelphia. It was our mission to update it, improve its function and make it more reflective of my clients. We cost engineered a very budget friendly solution with with they were very happy.

Existing Bathroom - This seventies styled bathroom featured black and white mosaic floor tiles paired with 6" square white ceramic wall tiles. The pedestal sink features exposed plumbing. Also, note the ackward location of the toilet paper holder.

Existing Bathroom - The black and white cut flower pattern on the shower wall was greatly disliked by my clients. The approximately 5' tall tile space ineffectively protected the walls from splashes and soap scum from taller users.

Existing Bathroom - The bath ledge, tank top and single shelf above the pedestal sink, was the only storage this bathroom offered. We would make improvements.

Existing Bathroom - This seventies styled bathroom featured black and white mosaic floor tiles paired with 6" square white ceramic wall tiles accented with black corner strips. The lack of storage was truly an issue here.

Existing Bathroom - This seventies styled bathroom's narrow bath and shower curtain screen, made bathing uncomfortable. The nonexistent storage forced the home owners to use the bath as a storage shelf.

Bathroom Under- construction - We gutted the entire bathroom, modified the electrics, redid the plumbing and created new areas for storage.

Bathroom Under- construction - Here we are creating a new storage niche in the shower area and redoing the walls with white subway tiles.

Bathroom Under- construction - The bath was replaced with a deeper bowed soaking tub. This provided a more comfortable bathing and soaking experience. We used 1'0 x 4'0 wood look porcelain tiles on the floor to visually expand the bathroom and add warmth.

Here we paired inexpensive white subway tiles with cost friendly 1'x4' wood look porcelain tiles, accented by more expensive glass and stone mosaic and marble trims to accomplish this sleek...

Bathroom Under- construction - New wall tiling work for the area behind vanity and WC. I used a light grout to highlight the tile composition and use the bold horizontal lines to visual strength the space.

Renovated Bathroom - We added a white shelf above the new WC tank for storage, added counter space and yes, an area for scent design and cozy bathroom charm. Can you feel the warmth and texture the wood look tiles added to the space?

Renovated Bathroom - Composition and function stack in a compact space. The new console vanity provides storage below and conceals the plumbing pipes. We deigned a flap in the side to access the completely concealed trash can.

Renovated Bathroom - For proposes of scale, we opted for an elliptical floating mirror. Through the mirror you can see the soft yellow we painted the walls, as well as the full length mirror we incorporated. That opposite wall also features linen storage and art.

Renovated Bathroom - We added this open storage niche next to the vanity. The addition of shadow boxes added depth and shelving to the storage area. They also transformed it into functional art.
