Hadiyah

We partnered with Form Architects from the design phase, through construction, to the final staging of this Luxury Caribbean Home. Perched 1,500 feet above sea level, it has a commanding view of rolling hills, valleys, and the ocean in the distance. As the Interior Designer of this project, we designed the lighting,, kitchen, bathrooms, and architectural details including the stairs, railing details, niches and selected all windows and doors. We selected all interior and interior finishes, materials, furniture, window treatments, art and accessories. The result is a cozy, sophisticated, relax, light and view celebrating warm island home, reflective of its owner and her lifestyle.

I designed this Living room to be formal yet cozy, giving rise to comfortable conversation while inviting in the light and view. Keeping the floor and area rug light and monochromatic in tone, allows the furniture to be accented and the space to appear open.

This living room features handcrafted solid mahogany furniture. The open floor plan uses substantial archways to define spaces. Large windows provide stunning views and abundant natural light. Grandeur is added to the space by its 18'-0" high cathedral ceilings.

The wood look 12" x 48" porcelain tiles adds charm and warmth to space while providing easy maintenance. Window Treatments frame the windows, diffuse natural light and add an element of human scaling in room with high ceilings. The beige wool area rug allows the furniture to float and the space...

This modestly size kitchen is big on storage, function and display. All the cabinets are custom designed to meet our client's needs. The wooden cabinets are pickled with a hint of green and lacquered, allowing the wood grain to be celebrated. The peninsula features a wine-rack and breakfast bar...

First Floor Entry - This Foyer gives access to the main entry, garage and guest flat. The stair leads to the second floor and main living spaces in the house. The staircase was designed by Peter E Designs and features storage below. The art work is Cuban.

We designed the stairs and railing details. The rails and stairs were constructed on site by master carpenter Festival. The home features art by acclaimed caribbean artist, including Errol Allen and Gogi Palachi.

Entry stairs to the homes second floor from the driveway. Terra-cotta tile floors set against soft yellow walls and patina wrought iron railings, mirrors and compliments the tropical paradise in which the house is nestled.

With perfect weather and stunning views, why eat indoors? We created this area for relaxing and dining. The indoor gardens provides privacy, brings the outside in and allows my client to enjoy her orchids. A water feature trickles within the foliage and adds an air of relaxation and refreshment...

Master Bed Room - The window treatment is layered for light control, thermal control and drama. This Master Bath features a custom vanity with granite top. The vanity has one chamfered edge to enhance moment and increase storage.

With its high vaulted ceiling, we elected to tile the walls up 7'-0" high to add human scale and coziness to the bathroom. The walls above the tiles is painted with the accent color from the attached bedroom.

The built in shower features adjustable shower heads with lock in temperature control to prevent scalding. Grab bars and the non-skid floating wooden floors enhances safety and gives a spa like feel to the bathroom.

This garden seating area is located on the front lawn. It is partially covered by a roof extension on the second floor. This is a view fromr the second floor veranda.
