Our client is a wonderful artist, and the painting over the bed was the inspiration for this master bedroom redesign. Shades of blush, gray and cream were chosen to provide a calm background so that the painting would be the star of the show. The watery impressionistic feel of the painting is reflected in the choice of the Caricole chest at the wall opposite the bed. A large oversized mirror from Uttermost fills up the space over the chest and reflects the painting across the room. Soft shades in an embossed velvet provide privacy. By reupholstering an existing chair and ottoman and adding a stylish standing lamp we created a perfect reading nook. The faux tree stump table is just the right size for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. This is a true retreat !
