The 265 sf deck was added to this 1940's house to increase the living space during the good weather and to create a better connection to the large landscaped yard. French doors were installed for access from open living space and stairs were built for easy access from house to yard for people and pets! The deck includes a built-in bench with planter full of strawberries, blueberries and perennials and an alcove for the BBQ. Welded wire mesh was used for the railings and for the screen along the stairs to allow vines to grow on for privacy and to create a lush feeling. The underside of the deck has corrugated metal so that there is additional usable covered space.
