Attic Holiday Apartment

A tiny attic apartment needs to fit a kitchen, dining area, living area, king-size bedroom, fitted wardrobes, en-suite and separate WC. No raised platform beds were acceptable to the client, and they also required a separate bidet int he en-suite. A wonderful challenge and one we enjoyed greatly.

The bedroom of the attic apartment maximises the space available to offer a clean, uncluttered space which is simple and luxurious. Feature glass panels open onto the en-suite to allow light to filter between the two rooms.

Attic Holiday Apartment
A clean, uncluttered and luxurious bedroom, despite the tiny space. The built-in wardrobe forms the wall separating the living room and bedroom area.
Bedroom view
On entry to the attic apartment, the guest sees the kitchen, dining and living areas. The space is kept minimal and bright to create space. To the right is the small WC to stop all guests from using the en-suite bathroom.
Living room view
This en-suite shower room is accessed via a sliding pocket door from the bedroom to maximise space. Key to the space is a combined toilet/bidet, a feature vessel sink, a wall-to-wall mirror to make the space bigger and light finishes.
En-suite shower room
The wall between the bedroom and living room is also the built in wardrobes for the bedroom. This maximises space and also access to the built-in tv and media unit is easy reached from within the wardrobe.
Attic Holiday Apartment
In this view we can also see the compact sofa and transparent dining table - both are light to keep the small space feeling airy and spacious. LEDs are flush-fit behind the sofa to provide a small feature and for ambient light in the evenings.

Suggested material finishes for use throughout the attic apartment. Light tones but a good mix of textures and colours to give a rich and luxurious feeling.

Lighting Plan for the attic apartment. As well as the usual overhead and spotlights the apartment has inbuilt LED lighting to provide night-time glow behind the headboard of the bed, to highlight the small shelves in the bedroom, and behind the sofa in the living area.
