This small kitchen was updated to utilize budget off-the-shelf carcasses and materials. The small space was made to fit a double oven, microwave, hobs and slimline dishwasher, as well as incorporate a single breakfast-bar space.

The kitchen features a thoughtfully laid out placing of utilities, shelving for kitchen recipe books, shelving for a laundry basket, shelving for first aid boxes (out of picture) and shelving for herbs and spices. The space beside the fridge has been left to store brush, ironing board, and slimline hoover.

The inspiration for the kitchen was a whiskey bottle packaging which featured a dark stormy sea and copper tones. The artwork was created especially for the project. Key to the space is the full-feature of the artwork, continuing the flooring up the wall nearest the sink, the top-lit small shelving and the foam green glass tiles. The juxtaposition of the light cabinets and the dark countertop also make the space stand out. We also love Ikea's Herrestad Cabinets for their brilliant texture at budget price.
