This unused area in a large kitchen diner was converted to a snug seating casual area where the family can read or can chat with those cooking dinner. The corner window addition was the largest contributor to the project cost.

The space was kept soft and light and was accented with modern artwork. A corner window was created and dressed with a curved-rail curtain finish in both translucent and opaque fabrics.

Key to the space was the interplay between the artwork and the light furnishings and dark accents. The high shelf with a subtle ornate carved wooden ornament creates a subtle drama and the skirting and architraves were enlarged and accented with more detailed fittings.
