This nursery for first time parents was a study in eco-friendly/sustainable design. Using our signature approach, we repurposed and refreshed the majority of the furniture and decor from items the client already owned. The custom daybed was originally created for the client's former studio apartment. By utilizing this heirloom, high quality piece, we have created a cozy lounge space for new parents and baby as well as a bed for the little boy to grow into. The dresser was refinished with colorful paint and new hardware. This piece not only provides storage, but also serves as a changing table when needed and will evolve as the child grows. Over time, this reduces the need to discard and buy new furniture, reducing the overall environmental impact. All of the art and lighting was pre-owned and we worked with the client to arrange each piece thoughtfully throughout the room.
