The goal for this project was to bring some warmth and character to a new-build, modern white apartment without losing the serene minimal feel of the space. We added a custom kitchen Island (Steve Doriss cabinetry) to provide more storage and counter space as well as a place to sit with friends and entertain. The warm walnut base and greige stone counter added depth and warmth to the light and airy space.
We defined the open living area into a dining space and living room using a vibrant rug in the living room. A sleek, yet cozy sofa adds elegance and the glass coffee table allows the rug to shine through and maintains an open and airy feel. A media credenza made to complement the existing kitchen cabinets adds needed storage while still maintaining the airiness of the space. The dining room is defined by a statement chandelier that adds a sculptural quality.

In the master bedroom we carried through the airy feel with white linen and gauzy sheers. The white is punctuated by warm wood accents, statement art, and a vintage rug. Eco friendly vendors and materials were used throughout the project as well as re-purposing items the client already owned.
