We built this whole design around one big tree in the middle of the yard. Everything else came together around that.

Right by the house there's a patio with an outdoor kitchen, and a shaded dining area. From there, a stone path winds through the yard and connects to everything else, a small water feature with a fountain, garden beds with low-water plants, and a lounge area in the back with a fire pit and a hot tub.

The goal was just to give the family different spots to actually use the yard, whether that's cooking out, relaxing by the fire, or just sitting under that big tree.
