This southern shade garden was inspired and built around this old vitex tree. The bluestone plinths, both at ground level and cantilevered over the beds, provide rhythm through the space.

The terrace was covered in gravel. Six inch steel edging functions as risers for the steps.

The wide gravel path leads the eye and provides necessary negative space for the lush planting beds. This will become more evident as the plants grow together.
