These flagstone slabs are large and heavy, up to 600 pounds each. The increased scale of the hardscape creates a magical atmosphere to the new seating area.

The front slope, formerly covered with turf, has been reimagined into a tapestry garden, with a wide variety of perennials and shrubs filling it. This large boulder was unearthed, washed and planted with iris cristata.

A new stream bed, slab bridge, pond and overscaled pathway creates an immersive garden.

The top waterfall, while not large in scale, produces sound that can be heard on the deck above. The relatively flat grade called for a lower drop.

We chose a stone slab bridge to continue the lines of the large flagstone steppers.

The serpentine line of the new walkway is a vast improvement over what was there previously.
