Baldwin Hills Suite Renovation

This Baldwin Hills convent needed a major update to be suitable for a single mother and teenage daughter. Two en-suite guest bedrooms were combined to create a second master suite for the teenage daughter, complete with an enlarged contemporary jack-and-jill style bathroom dividing the lounge space from the bedroom, featuring a walk-in-closet fit for a fashionista.

Before
The existing faux tongue & groove paneling and popcorn ceilings were removed for a smooth finish ready for a fresh coat of paint. The window was replaced with a 60" sliding door, giving this new lounge access to the outdoors.

By removing the closet adjacent to the bathroom, we enlarged the footprint of the bathroom to create a large jack-and-jill style bathroom for this teen girl's lounge and bedroom. All of the tongue and groove and popcorn ceiling was removed.

The double sink vanity was divided by an awkwardly placed window. The soffit at the ceiling was also unnecessary. The entire bathroom was gutted.

The existing shower was a very small corner shower. By removing the adjacent closet, we enlarged the bathroom and relocated all of the plumbing fixtures.
