The original 1960's house was well situated to take advantage of local views, but the outdated kitchen, with little storage, was dark and didn't function well. This project modernized the kitchen, making it fully functional with its efficient work triangle, tons of storage, and a massive island for impromptu gatherings. The partially closed-in deck was made into a dining room, with a shed roof reaching toward to the view instead of sloping down, covering the view. The deck needed to be completely rebuilt to today's structural standards and we rebuilt the main bathroom along with a powder room off of the entry.
