The homeowner asked us to transform her master bathroom into an ADA compliant bathroom as she had recently become mobility impaired. We tore out both sinks/vanities, the garden tub and the small shower. We installed a new vanity & sink to the left of the shower. We installed a zero-entry, roll-in shower, with pivoting glass door and a fold down shower chair with arms. We also installed a separate 2nd hand-held shower head to use when sitting in seat. We installed safety bars and a niche that was easy to access when sitting. In the place of the 2nd smaller vanity & sink to the right of the shower, we built in new cabinets for extra storage. In place of the old shower, we built a wheelchair accessible vanity where she can open the doors, push them back into the vanity and roll her chair under for comfort and ease. Homeowners were extremely pleased with their new ADA bathroom!
