We transformed the old one story kitchen and family nook into a two story structure housing the new master suite above a new kitchen and living room extension. Keeping most of storage low allowed us to surround the kitchen with banks of windows. More light enters the kitchen from the deep skylight well. Dining and cooking can spill onto the new back deck.
