Moss Hill Renovation
The homeowners of a 1930 home in Jamaica Plain sought an updated kitchen and mudroom now that their children were growing up and spending more time cooking. Avid gardeners, the homeowners also wanted to see out to their year-round front garden.
Although the dining room was already somewhat open to the kitchen, a half wall with columns didn’t provide the same open concept look the homeowners sought. The U-shaped workspace of the renovated kitchen functions better than the previous layout. Counter-to-ceiling windows capture the view they desired.
Moving the powder room provided space for the walk-in pantry and a built-in desk area between the mudroom and kitchen.
