Belmont Hill Showcase

A truly one of a kind architectural gem on the top of Belmont Hill needed a breathe of new life. We transformed this century old stucco and concrete, French farmhouse with a hidden entry through the basement, with funky stairs, landings and passageways into a expansive and flowing floorplan with tons of new natural light. Using 95% of the existing footprint, we maximized the existing house with 5 different levels to make this new and exciting space. A true design build success story.

Trying to pick my favorite detail from this project is like picking my favorite child. Can't be done. Alice from Longleaf Lumber in Cambridge scored this amazing old walnut that we milled and were able to keep a bit of the old patina to make these one of a kind fridge panels for our sub zero...

The window seat is a detail that will never go away because it works. Notice the absence of base trim on the top of this window seat. Not simple to do, but the cleanest way.

Master The Master Suite
We stole the space from the hallway to create the second closet that this master suite needed. We reclaimed the old kitchen door with the old glass for this space. My idea

The man always get shortchanged with closet space and this was no exception. But at least he doesn't have to share as the old house had 1 small master closet.
