berkley drive

a typical 70's split level home in north vancouver came with a typical tiny & ugly kitchen.
the first step was to reorganize the space by knocking down a wall between the kitchen & dining room. we extended the basic u-shape of the kitchen for more counter & cabinet space and moved windows for better exposure to the tree-filled yard.
dark base cabinets ground the kitchen with white uppers to keep it light & fresh. the walnut shelving adds some warmth & nature to the space, which we hope to continue in the near future by wrapping the other 3 sides of the fireplace in walnut panelling.
