Bluestone For Friends

What makes this project special is not the bluestone, the boxwood or the big drift of groundcover. What makes this project special to me is that I designed for this client in 1995 and am still doing work for them today.

Frequently we talk about clients as friends, but in this case I am fortunate to count them as both loyal clients and treasured friends. Working for them gave me genuine pleasure during the design and construction phases. The color within the garden represents the joy of friendship.

Bluestone Patio New Lenox

Bluestone Patio

A bluestone walk moves through ornamental onion, groundcover and containers on its way to the back yard. In addition to the walkway, the bluestone also serves as a border down each side of the driveway.

Bluestone and Perennials

Boxwood hedge (Buxus x 'Green Velvet') with topiary lilac drive the formality portion of this front garden. Ground cover, perennials and grasses function as softening agents.

Warmed by the glow of accent lighting, a bluestone walkway is nestled softly among the plantings at this New Lenox landscape.
