Understanding the space and how to best utilize it can be daunting when there are significant grade changes to manage. On this project the landscape architect clearly "felt the space" and understood how to develop it.

Dining and relaxation spaces are located almost five feet above the pool, allowing for two distinct levels that add character and reflect the ingenuity of the design on this backyard and poolside landscape.

Family time is spent not only in and around the pool but also on the upper level, which also boasts a gas fire pit. Because of the two levels and how they work together, the homeowners are able to entertain thirty to forty guests easily, which they routinely do.

Expertly installed outcropping walls are the primary feature of interest. Over a dozen containers filled with seasonal annuals supply a nice blast of summer color, while an assortment of Hydrangea, perennials and ground cover supply continual interest.
