Quarry Road
Originally built in 1887, the initial farmhouse is still part of the new structure though it is no longer recognizable. History was eschewed in favor of practicality and need, though all representations of features and planting design are from period gardens.
The fire pit, central to the project, is a small tribute to landscape architect Jens Jensen, who was the first to popularize the feature about the time the home was being built.
The original well pump was turned into a small whimsical water feature that repeatedly fills a bucket while entertaining grandkids and guests. Rustic cedar benches and chairs are all part of the theme development built around "family having fun".
