Boulder Ranch Whole Home Remodel

Melton Design Build was brought in to help this homeowner completely renovate their 1950's ranch style home. This to the studs renovation included moving the location of the kitchen, installing skylights, several basement bedroom and bathroom updates, a complete refinish and redesign of the master bedroom and bathroom, updating the family room (including installing new windows), and more.

Originally the home had several walls that sectioned off the living space from the kitchen and the rest of the home, making the space feel cramped. Therefore, several walls were removed and reconfigured to make it an open living area.

The kitchen location was moved to be more central to the home and allow for better access to the outdoor living area, sky lights were also installed to allow for all day natural lighting.

The walnut cabinetry throughout the kitchen warms the space, and matches the floor with a similar tone which pulls the space together. A light blue glass backsplash and white countertop brightens the space and adds a reflection of the light.

All appliances used in this remodeled kitchen are stainless steel. The finish of the appliances matches the look of the kitchen and helps achieve a uniquely styled room, fitting the needs and wants of the homeowner.

The master bathroom has an all wood scheme with a strip of a blue backsplash. The hardware on the cabinets was kept simple with cylindar handels. Additionally, the toilet is sectioned off allowing for more privacy.

A soaking tub was added for an element of relaxation and the shower differs from the other parts of the bathroom. The shower's walls and ceiling continues the same tile as the floor but has a unique stone flooring which adds texture and tones.
