The clients of this rural home are a couple of empty nesters seeking the quieter lifestyle of an age gone by. The had a specific general store that they wanted to emulate in their efficient two bedroom home with an open floor plan. We used reclaimed corrugated metal, deep overhangs, and even a neon sign to top off their "Box of Moonlight."

The couple also wanted plenty of space for their adult children and their families to visit comfortably with some space of their own. For efficiency sake as well as to preserve a quiet lifestyle, we separated the home from a motel-style guest house. It has proved to be a great getaway for homeowners and guests alike.
