Our client requested an overall improved arrangement to her kitchen with a more open, less cluttered feel. She wanted more storage, better quality appliances and the ability to cook and still be connected with family and guests at the same time. We rearranged the gas cooktop to the center island to connect the chef with the inevitable crowd that gathers in a kitchen and positioned the dishwasher next to the sink on the right so that our client could comfortably load without having to reach over an open door. We also added more storage, a Miele steam oven (along with all other appliance upgrades) and a tall narrow bookcase for handy storage of cookbooks or decor. The floor was replaced with large porcelain tiles and the backsplash was injected with color and pattern with painted ceramic tiles.
