Bringing in the "Sizzle Factor"

This beautiful home in Wash Park had just been popped and extensively remodeled, but the homeowners had run out of steam and just needed the finishing touches. I brought in art, accessories, rugs, pillows and lots of ideas. Styling it all was so much fun, and now it's magazine worthy!

Wash Park Home Styling

This entryway was just an afterthought and was anything but welcoming.

Now it's one of my favorite rooms in the house! What a difference with a new stylish entry table, pillows, art and accessories. We even found a spot for her daughter's paper mache turtle.

Moving the greens and aquas throughout gives cohesion and much needed color against the neutral backdrop.

This was a great kitchen but it felt a bit cluttered and just needed a little styling.

Clearing out the clutter and bringing in some cute, fun accessories that didn't break the bank added just the right touches to elevate this lovely kitchen.

Now this is a space you want to hang out in! The large colorful area rug brings in a cozy factor and great color & pattern to tie in that amazing art. A playful mix of pillows and throws brighten up the dark purple sectional. Fun groupings of accessories bring in more texture and pop to highlight...

Another angle of this cozy family room. Bringing in different textures with your accessories makes them more interesting and layered. Ceramic, glass, metal, pottery, greenery & candles all work together.

Never underestimate the power of color! A great new art piece and a few well placed accessories make all the difference in the world. Now this is an inspiring space to work in!

We even carved out a conversation area in the corner so now the homeowner isn't just stuck at her desk. You see this space from the front door, and now it looks welcoming and hip.

This elephant was lonely in the powder room window. He was kind of giving some privacy to the space from the house next door.

Now this elephant is right at home in his jungle that really gives privacy without sacrificing style. Some well chosen organic art, new towels & accessories bring it all together.

This hallway led to her daughter's room and felt cold and dark. Now a fun rug, a well place mirror to add depth, and a playful art grouping gives this pass through a happy and welcoming feel. Don't underestimate hallways - they are a design opportunity!

Before, this master bedroom only had the headboard and mattress. We brought it new bedding, draperies, a bench, rug, side tables, dresser, lamps, art, and accessories. Now it has wow factor and is a sumptuous retreat after a long day.

Beautiful shades of aqua and royal blue pop against all the dreamy white and gray to add just the right amount of color, yet keeping it relaxing and dreamy.
